From veils and bouquets to big hearts, this year’s My Breast Friend’s Wedding turned celebration into impact, raising more than $128,000 to support The Go Jen Go Foundation and the local breast cancer community. Dye Culik was honored to support this event and Go Jen Go as part of our Community Impact Mission.

On Thursday, Oct. 23, at Hyatt Centric Charlotte SouthPark, 300 women dressed in wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, and other wedding-inspired attire gathered together to make a difference during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Attendees enjoyed wedding cake, hors d’oeuvres, champagne, DJ, dancing, and wedding favors. Longtime Go Jen Go supporter Molly Grantham emceed the festivities. “My Breast Friend’s Wedding was an incredible and powerful night,” said Shawna Dye Culik, COO of Dye Culik, Event Chair of My Breast Friend’s Wedding, and Board Chair for The Go Jen Go Foundation. “The brides, the love, the support, the friendships, the energy — and the strength of every breast cancer survivor, thriver, fighter, caregiver, and woman doing good in our world — created something truly special. This amazing community is the heart of My Breast Friend’s Wedding. We are so grateful to everyone who joined us for an extraordinary evening to connect, make memories, and support Go Jen Go.”
All proceeds benefited The Go Jen Go Foundation, a local nonprofit that provides financial assistance to more than 110 families per month in the Greater Charlotte area who are facing the financial burden of a breast cancer diagnosis. The first Wedding in 2023 raised $11,000, the second in 2024 raised $42,000, and this year, the event more than tripled its growth, raising $128,000 for Go Jen Go.
The event planners were especially proud that they also broke records, with over 300 attendees, 22 Go Jen Go Grantees in attendance, 60+ sponsors and supporters, and almost all event vendor businesses being either women-owned or women-led.

“Many thanks to everyone who said ‘Yes!’ to making a difference at My Breast Friend’s Wedding,” said Susan Evren, Executive Director of The Go Jen Go Foundation. “Everyone’s love, laughter, and generosity will lift up local breast cancer patients and families in meaningful ways. What a beautiful reminder of the power of women coming together to make
an impact.”
